With decades of gardening experience growing fruits and vegetables at home, and striving to eat healthier year round, I was seeking ways to grow lettuce at home during the fall, winter, and spring.  After a few hours of exploring indoor lettuce growing techniques on YouTube, I accidentally came across a video on growing microgreens.  I was immediately intrigued, and it didn’t take long before I became obsessed with these tiny nutritional powerhouses.  I very quickly abandoned my quest to grow lettuce indoors.  Why grow plain, bland lettuce when I could grow these flavourful, colourful, nutrient packed super-foods?  In December of 2023 I ordered my first set of trays from Amazon, bought some microgreen seeds from a local Home Hardware, and a set of Barrina lights on Facebook Marketplace…. and a passion was born.  I immediately fell in love with these little plants.  It wasn’t long before I began to consider growing and selling them as a home-based business.  In 2024 the time was not right to jump into a home based business, but I continued to perfect my growing techniques and provide my family and I with highly nutritious food.  In early 2025 I decided that now is the time, and began creating Grenny’s Greens.

Our goal at Grenny’s Greens is to provide quality, fresh, nutrient packed, delicious, locally grown microgreens to our community.  We believe that healthy eating builds healthy people, and healthy people build stronger communities.  We hope you join us on this journey towards a healthier future.
